Operation Arrows of the North started yesterday as IDF aircraft bombed over 1,300 targets all over Lebanon.
Hezbollah (or Hamas branch of Lebanon, who took responsibility for 40 launching) fired over 210 rockets towards Israel.
Lebanon had reported 492 killed in the attacks, among them 35 children and 58 women. 1,645 were wounded. That’s although IDF spokesperson had alert all that live in Southern Lebanon to stay away from houses which hold Hezbollah rockets and missiles as it will bomb all over. That caused endless traffic jams on Lebanon roads on the way north.
Hezbollah, in its turn, expended its rocket range south over Haifa and even south as Samria (but lucky us not Tel-Aviv). The rockets, needless to say, are not accurate, and although Hezbollah is announcing, it aims at military targets, the rockets hits civilians.
Till this time, there are only wounded in Israel, but rockets are a statistical weapon, fire enough, and one will hit and kill.
You can see in many of the attacks videos after explosions of rockets and missiles that were ignited by the airstrikes proving the house or location, held Hezbollah weapon.
As in the pager attack last week, you can see how much preparation and intelligence the IDF had collected during the years to have such successful hits in Operation Arrows of the North. I do not know if this operation really managed to really reduce Hezbollah capabilities of launching long-range missiles on Israel, or it keeps it for time we will start the ground manuver in Lebanon.
