The first thing Ima did was to cut down her hair.

“It was thin anyway, and in the matter of fact – I think I look more beautiful that way.”

She ask me to do it, but when she came back from the wig designer she was already bald.

“The wig designer said it is bad thing to ask from your children to that kind of things. So he cut my hair.”

She started with telling me. Because I am the more reasonable and adult. Later she said that each one reacted different, depends on his history with the cancer disease.

I, for first, had a bad history. When I was 17 my friend lost his elder sister for cancer. The moment she know she is sick, she changed her all way of life. From a stressed-software-programmer she became relaxed and started painting. She got over it – and went back to her old way of life. It came back fast and she dies a month later.
The first thing I tried Ima to do was stop smoking, although it has no direct relation to what happen. She of course refused – “like I don’t have enough on my head”.

I don’t knew how Guri and Fatma reacted. I wasn’t there and nobody told me.
Yoni, on the other, knows a person that got over it. Ima and Guri drove to Tel aviv to tell her personally. When she saw them she asked what happened and Guri tell her that he is pregnant :-). Later on the day we had a chat, that how I kneo about her reaction. “What am I supposed to do with that?” she asked me. “What do you mean?” I replied. “They always tell me in the middle of a work day – first that swift died, now that. And then everybody expect me to go back to work as normal”. What can I say?

And Nathan….

Take Care
