Jerusalem, Israel
It was all very familiar…
The same people and faces I used to see in Hapoel Katamon soccer team games. A mass of sang the same social songs from the field, sometimes exactly the same, sometimes with different lyrics. And there was the moment that someones checks what going on in other football teams in the league.
But that is not a game.
We want a change. The social people and songs are now in the street, not only in the stadiums. We are not checking what is going in other games, but in other cities centers. How many gathered to protest and to demonstrate against the government policy.
My dorms became international, I have Italian, Portuguese and German.
The Portuguese arrived a week ago. Every night I come back to the dorms and find him cock something to himself And every day he surprised about the cost of something else: two days ago about the price of the meat, yesterday about the cost of the alcohol, today about the cost of the eggs (not before he asked why they are white and not brown).
The government says we have an open market. That is not right, the market here is very concentrated. In the matter of fact we have 18 families that rule the market. Each with her own company. Erison on the banks, Offer on the Dead sea Works and so on…
They killed the monopolies. But instead we have cartels. Which one is better? I don’t knew, but at least back then nobody told us it is a free open market…
