We spent independence day in Kibbutz Hagoshrim, and took a small hike in The hidden stream creek.
A small stream, Koren stream, is crossing the Kibbutz. You can walk along it and enjoy it. A small waterfall is pouring over an ancient flour mill that is now a memorial for the Kibbutz fallen soldiers.
A smaller stream is feeding Koren stream, and it is flowing quietly, hidden from view.
You can walk along it, if you please, thanks to Ori Dimend who thought and set up this nice hiking trail in 1990 and maintenance part of it since than.
Hagoshrim hotel sits right above the stream and maintenance it. Since this part is locked inside the Kibbutz fences, no animals are visiting it. A longer part, twice as long, is over road 99. It is an adventure in the nature and ends in to spring. You can Ori to guide you in it 054669316-5. Long time ago, Dan stream run through here and collected the water of the springs of Koren stream. Now Dan stream changed its route to the East and Koren stream run independently for about 1 km before it joins Dan stream.
This place hold up a pretty unique population of Equisetum plant. It is usually considered unwanted plant, but have medicine effects.
