Caesarea

Hi,
Just as the second Coronavirus lockdown 😷 has ended and the next lockdown date is still unknown Atzva and I took a day off to relax and to travel a bit. The location chosen – Caesarea.

When an Isreali says Caesarea, it means the high society settelment (in which Bibi, our prime minister owns an house – figure from it what you wish…). As one of the Israeli famous entertainment group member said “What I want? A private house in Caesarea!”

It can also be reffered to as the Roman renovated theatre (we call it Amphitheatre) used for Pop and rock shows. It isn’t so big (3,700 seats) – but only the big Israeli performers shows takes place here.

For a tourist like you, the name means the ruins of the Roman city founded by Herod the great (considered the biggest builder of Israel in ancient times) on Mediterranean sea, and that is what we were headed to 🙂

I don’t think I have been there as a grown up. Although Israel National Trail, that I have had hiked along after my military reserve, runs along it walls.

Take care
Gaf
