Israel and Ukraine does not have long history, as the countries are pretty young. At least from Ukraine standing by itself on its forgien affairs.
The Jews however does has a long history, which is unfortuantly very violent. Ukraine was one of the active countries in helping the Nazis during the Holocaust, in means of elemniating the “Jewish problem” (Babi Yar for example). Even before that the Jewish people have suffered from the attack of the Ukranian Cossaks (Ukranian national symbol) on their villages. To this daus if some Ashkenazi newborn has blue eyes, we thinkin the genes would probably came from a Cossak raping one of his anscetors.
This way so many Keyboard heroes are calling out for “luck for both sides”. Hoping that the Russian soldiers will die as they attack Ukraine for no reason. And hope the Ukraine will die for what they had done for the Jewish people during the Holocaust.
Looking on the Israel Ukraine realtionship as Israeli more a Jew, I think Israel should do more to help Ukraine. I do not know if weapon is the right way and I will explain in a minute, but humntrian aid and political support for sure. We are donating food through the scouts.
Why not sending out weapon (or at least not showing it) is because Israel ia still the Jew country. And there are Jews in Russia as well in Ukraine. And my fear is that for the Russian propaganda will make “Israel help Ukraine” into “The Jews help Ukraine”, what might make the life of the Jews in Russia a hell…

of course the Russo-Ukranian war been been compared to Israel fighting in Gaza strip. But it is different. Yes, Russia is invading Ukraine and hit civilians like Israel in Gaza strip. But… first,Israel does not bomb civilians, but use accurate ammunation on military targets. And avoid hitting civilians by alerting them before. Second Israel invade Gaza strip because and only after Gaza bombs Israel by rockets who hit civilians. And even after IDF enter Gaza strip, the water and electricty for Gaza people is till being supplied by Israel (while the power planet supplying it is being bombed from Gaza). And above all Russia tries to conqure Ukraina, while Israel tries to stop the bombing from Gaza strip.
