Hi,
While IDF soldiers are fighting against Hamas in Gaza strip, where they are killed and injured, dozens of trucks with humanitarian aid are entering Gaza strip.
As my heart goes out to poor miserable Palestinians packed in tents on the south of Gaza strip, waiting for the food and fuel – the trucks and the aid in it does not get to them. Hamas, as the only govern authority in Gaza strip, takes over the aid convoy with the humanitarian aid in it and use it for its own needs – which means for the fighting to continue.
And on the same time Kerem Shalom border crossing between Israel and Gaza strip allow the scene to continue. I see an accurate image someone published describing it: fuel tanks entering the strip, supplying fuel, ammunition and weapons to Hamas, while the convoy out of Gaza strip leads coffins of IDF soldiers killed in the fighting in Gaza strip in the war.
Yes those are fuel tanks, but when lead in to the strip by UN forces, and be more precise, by UNRAWA workers, they uses the trucks to smuggle in ammunition and weapons as they use the organization cover for other terror activities.
Many of the Israelis does not agree with this situation, and during the weekend protested against the entrance to the humanitarian aid to Gaza strip. One of the Rabbi had declared protesting is Pikuach nefesh (saving life – a Jewish principal that states some rules and restriction of the culture can be push aside to keep the life of Jewish people), and allowed to protest against this humanitarian aid convoys.
To allow the convoy of trucks to enter the strip, IDF had declared the area as closed military area. Meaning no civilian (or protestor) can enter the area, this is something done many times in the west bank, to prevent Palestinian or settlers to enter area or make a mess.
Take Care
