The hostages in Gaza strip – status – 462nd day of war

Hi,
The hostages in Gaza strip still wait to come back home. As this war in Gaza strip continue (and more and more soldiers are killed daily) it does not seems the hostages are in top priority of the government, more like a good excuse to keep fighting.

You can see the updated numbers on a table here (in Hebrew) graph and and table to show how the fighting and military rescue operations are not the way to bring them back (alive or dead).
– 251 were kidnapped on October 7th Black Sabbath. (there were two live hostages in Gaza strip before that, and also two bodies of soldiers)
– 109 of them were released in the hostage deal.
– 8 were rescued in different special operations (here, here).
– 40 more return back home dead.

98 hostages are still in Gaza strip. We know, in different ways, 34 of them are dead at the moment. Meaning no more than 64 of the hostages in Gaza strip are alive.

It is pretty clear the real way of getting those woman, man and children back home is in a deal. Some cry out we need the military pressure on Hamas to get better condition for a deal. It does not seems like our government wish to have a deal. Can we get any better condition for a deal from now? Is there a difference between now and a month ago? or two months ago? No.

It seems that we will keep this war just as long as we manage to get all the hostages back home. I fear that they all be back home slowly, one by one, as bodies.

Take care
Gad

The hostages in Gaza strip - status up till today. Looking on the Blue line which slowly decrease you might think things are getting better. But the truth is those are mostly bodies that been returned or rescued, not living hostages.

When you look on the graph in the real perspective, you can see how since the deal hostage about a year ago, most of hostages back home are bodies that been rescued and not living people.
