Hi,
The picture of the exploded bus in Bat Yam, all burned down, remained all in my age and above the hard, vicious, and brutal days of the second Intifada of 2000 (this bus, and 3 others were luckily empty and non was killed or injured)
During that time, there were 17 sucide bomber terror attacks on buses, which caused the death of more than 180 Israelies and injuring more than 800. They were mainly performed by the terror organizations Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The deadliest was the one on line 2 on Jerusalem, August 19th, 2003. Leaving 23 deaths and 130 injured (many of them children).
It was the time I was in high school and in the military, and I mainly moved around by buses (and Ima car when, available). But altougth, Ima and Aba were hysterical scared, I don’t remember worried about it.
It is a good reminder that the people we let go of the prison in exchange for our kidnapped hostages are terrorists.
One pointed it clearly posting – You release feom prison people that all they know is to terrorize, and what do you – once they are out, they terrorize. A clear example was Yahya Sinwar, who was released out of Israeli prison in Gilad Shalit exchange and became the head and mind of Hamas attack on Israel on October 7th.
Those who stand against the hostage deals say it will happen again. Those who are now being released will be murdering Israeli against soon. That just like with Sinwar, you can not monitor and stop from doing so.
And I still think we first need to have all our hostages, dead or alive, back before the war will resume. I thought we should have gotten them home before the IDF would enter Gaza strip. And only them start the ground manuver.
Take Care
Gad
