Sal’it, Israel
A cave!!
Every now and then, when I spend my time looking on Israel map in Amud Anan (“Pillar of cloud”) website, I find myself another cool place I haven’t been to in Israel. That site gives everybody a chance to share their knowledge about Israel. Just make a blue circle around it in the map and write what you have to say about it =)
That time, yep, you were guessing right, it’s was a stalactites cave. Atzva, my girlfriend and I took the opportunity that my boss have flown abroad and took his car for a trip to the cave near Sal’it.
After the last time we’ve been there, we were walking along the fence that surrounds it and found that the settlement impenetrable, we decided to call the responsible of the security.
“Come whenever you want” he said.
“And you’ll open us the gate?” I asked.
“No, there is a a hole in the gate…”, apparently we walked along the wrong fence and even if we would have manage to get out, we wouldn’t have found the cave…As we say: “More luck than brain”…. =)

Atzva ready to get down. She’s wearing an overall that I got from some petrochemical plant we are working with in purpose to stay clean, and she’s using the head flashlight she got for her birthday for the first time =)
Going down. It’s easy to go down, very steep and slippery but better to use the rope (We brought one, but it was a bit too short)
Look at the top, you can see some water drops? those are stalactites that still growing.
Climbing up to the second chamber, very very stiff and slippery…

You start crawling in narrow places try to find another chamber, but many times you get to a dead end

Going down from the second chamber… use you hands and hold on to the knots in the rope
The way out… now you must use the rope!
