Hezbollah has been using anti-tank missiles for the past 3 and something months as a daily weapon for structures, even though each piece he uses costs around 6,000$.
Usually, in war, when bombing cities and villages in a short distance, it is being done by much cheaper weapons such as mortar shells, cannons, and rockets and not anti-tank missiles (which, as their name suggests, are built to destroy armored vehicles).
Those missiles require clear eye contact with the target, limited to 10km (in the best case), and they are expensive. But on the other hand, it allows Hezbollah to be presice in the hits and keep his bookkeeping underneath the state of war. There is no time alert (red alert or purple rain), which we have in case of rocket attack.
Another big advantage of using anti-tank missiles against static targets his that there is no effective defense system against it. Rockets and mortar shells can be interpicated (by iron beam, Iron Dome, David Sling , or the Hetz). The anti-tank missile (which mostly rides on laser beam) can be diverted using smoke or Trophy systems (Me’il Roach). But you can not use both for the thousands of buildings in the empty settlements.
The most common anti-tank missile Hezbollah is using is the Kornet (made in Russia), which can penetrate steel armor thicker than 1m (!). In the 2nd Lebanon war, it hit and destroyed many IDF Merkava tanks. As it flies, the rocket surfs on laser beam and looks like it dances.
Hezbollah had already hit IAF base on Mount Meron damaged half of the buildings in Manara, fifth of buildings in Metula, and more in the settelments along the Israeli border with Lebanon. The attacks also cost in life of soldiers and citizens (like in Iqrit or Dovev)
Hamas does not use the Kornet missile in Gaza strip, as its station is hard to be assembled, the place is covered in dust and smoke, and on the fighting distances in the strip there are many infantry soldiers around.
