Hi,
When we were released from the first term of the military reserve duty in this war, some of us were looking through the recruitment ads looking for military reserve soldiers.
Yep, you read it right. There are recruitment ads for for reserve soldiers. No they are not published formally on newspapers and on websites, but more kind of posts published in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and the rest of the social media.
Some my squadron came back from Africa, or did not have a job to got (or a family) or just could not stay at home when the war continues (not that we done much on the first period, we were reserve). They were looking for another IDF unit to join to and keep fighting (or start fighting).
That one I realized there are many fighting units that are missing soldiers. And seems there are many soldiers (like the above) who wish join in. It started with mouth to ear recruitment and in some point it was became a market, like the job market.
The workers (soldiers) are looking for a good working place (Fighting unit), while the working place are trying to offer them the best conditions (which ironically might mean – the highest chances to die of injured). It is now a worker market as they say.
Take Care

Recruitment add for Yael force on Facebook, calling for soldiers to secure the settlements of Gaza surroundings and the settlements along the Dead Sea (where there are many Yaels =(Ibex)). 3 hours shifts, 9 days on the settlements, 3 at home, a commitment for two months, good people and great atmosphere, great conditions. It really sound like a job ad (Source: Facebook)
An ad calling for fighters to join Carmeli brigade, based on the Uncle Sam poster from WWII (Source: Facebook)
