Hi,
One thing good about training is that you enter areas that are Firing zones, which means you are not allowed to enter as a citizen and visit places such as Venus Spring.
The spring is more a cistern than a spring – a concrete box with an access opening and a steel ladder to go down to the water accumulated inside.
The name of the spring is written in graffiti on the top of the structure. In Amud Anan, the place has no name, just a cistern. When we find it on the map, we sure said we need a dip.
My friend and I went to look after it when we realized we had enough time between the drills we had to do today.
After we had a big circle around the place, we managed to find the place. I, for some reason, thought it needed to be under one of the ruined buildings.
When we found it, we realized we finished one of the drills we had just a couple of meters from it 🙂
My friend did not hesitate, took his clothes off, and jumped into the cold water (he takes cold showers on the field). I only took half a dip as the water was too cold for me.
It was refreshing after all the sweat in the trainings we had.
Take Care
