Operation Shield and Arrow – day 3

Hi,
The first Israeli killed during Operation Shield and Arrow was announced today. After a quiet night, where no rockets were lanched, we entered the 3rd day of Operation Shield and Arrow. IAF kept hitting terror targets during the night.

As happenes in thise operations – there are discussions over cease fire from the beginning. And as most of the time, rockets are flying over bombs are dropped and people are being killed.

During the day, the rockets and mortar shells from the Gaza Strip were mainly towards Gaza surrondings, that until late afternoon when a massive rockets salvo was launched at southern Israel, The Iron dome system missed the rocket and did not intercept it.

The rocket hit a building in Rehovot, killing one man and injuring 5 more. Once there are Israeli fatalities, the public demands more blood from the other side. Which reduces the chance the cease fire negotiatings will end up with good results.

During the night and the day, IAF kept bombing Islamic Jihad leaders and militants who were on their way to launch missiles. It did not prevent 620 rockets from being launched, 179 being intercepted with 91% success of Iron dome system. At the moment, Hamas has not joined the fight, and the operation is only against the Islamic Jihad, just like operation breaking dawn.

Take Care
