Hi
“Savta waited for you” said Aba when I came home Friday morning. I landed from Bulgaria sky vacation on Thursday night and went to my girlfriend’s dad birthday party. I had to spend my weekend at Haifa, checking exams. I got home at Friday morning to my grandfather (Saba in Hebrew) memorial day. He died eight years ago.

Before the memorial I went to see Savta. After all, Aba said she was waiting for me.

But Aba didn’t have to say more then he did. It was clear what she was waiting for.

A week ago Aba call us all to see grandmother (Savta in Hebrew).

I was on my way to airport. I didn’t tell my family, I never do when I fly. If they had known they would have sent me with a shopping list (like they did that time). And I came to see Savta.

She didn’t say nothing.  She didn’t say nothing for along time. My Aba mother have been at an Alzheimer hospital for almost 10 years now. She was dying there slowly for 10 years.

But Aba was wrong about he said.

She wasn’t waiting for me.

Savta was waiting for grandfather.

Savta had died eight years after Saba died at same date. She was waiting for him.

Take Care
Gad
