Hi,
I used to love helicopters. Just like aircraft, each time I used to hear the sounds of those choppers above, I used to lift my head with a bit of excitement to see what kind it is
Don’t get me wrong – I was never really into it, in a level I could say exactly what type and model it is. But I could say if it is a military or civilian. And if it was a military type I could probably differentiate between the fight helicopters, and those who were built to carry people around (just like the Nagmash was never a fighting armored vehicle, just an armored taxi).
Now days, I raise my head with a bit of fear in my heart. The fear to see those helicopters who kind of a taxi choppers. Those are the Sikorsky CH-53 (sea stallion) choppers we call Yas’or . That is because during this war they are used more as flying ambulances than anything else.
And it means they are carrying injured soldiers from the front (usually Gaza strip) to the hospitals around the country.
Yes, you can say those flying ambulances are good. Just like the question if you think of an dying person or a woman gives birth when you see an ambulance rush to the hospital on the highway. Sometimes those are carrying back hostages back from Gaza strip. But most of time they are not…
Take Care

Two helicopters on the way north along the Mediterranean sea. There might be back (or going to pick) forces in Gaza strip. But the still me feel a bit bad.
Helicopters in the sky while we were camping with our friends in lower Galilee. I was somehow relived when I saw those are two fighting helicopters (probably Boeing AH-64 Apache)
