No matter how much you getting ready for the after the holidays (Rosh Hasana, Yum Kippur and Sukkot), it still struck you when it comes. And it comes….
All the projects that were on hold till the holidays comes back (it common to say we will talk about it after the holidays). Add this to the projects that comes back because the end of year is near and the budget need to be used.
This year we did not even rest during the holidays itself for the huge project we are working on in the factory. We are working along the American collgoues that work according to their schedule, and we somehow need to fit in to.
In the army they always says: in the end of each Sabbath, there is the evening. It is more a threat that means that even if no punishment is allowed on the day itself, after it there is plenty of time for punishments. No matter how much you rest during the holidays, it ends with a unbelievable amount of work after it.
My colleague keeps saying this is way she won’t go on vacations, she is afraid of how many e-mails she has to read and take of when coming back (she also thinks no one can do her work, but this is something else).
Before the birth of the first born child, everybody tells you should rest and sleep before the delivery because after it you will have none. And still, nothing prepare you for it. This after the holidays time feels the same. But this time you know it will come, you know how it will be, you prepare for it – and still it is a shock 😱
