On November 11th, 2006, after the 2nd Lebanon war ended, the UN set out resulotion 1701 that stated that Hezbollah will withdraw his forces north of the Litany River, and the area will demilitariazed and under UNIFIL rule.
As you can understand the resulotion has no meaning on the field. For the past hundreds days of war Hezbollah is attacking IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians along Lebanon border. UNIFIL is still standing in south Lebanon but cannot prevent Hezbollah daily attacks.
But that is not only during the 100 years that Hezbollah is sitting on the border. It does so since 2006, when the last war between Israel and Lebanon ended. The tunnels the terror organization has chiseled underneath the border towards Israeli settlements is a clear evidence that Hezbollah planned (and still is) to attack Israel.
People were convinced that we saw Hamas did on the Black Sabbath on Gaza surroundings settlements was indeed what Hezbollah planned doing on thenorthern border of Israel – kill and kiddnap as many soldiers and Israeli civilians into Lebanon and hold them as hostages.
Lobby 1701 is a group of Israeli citizens who are monitoring the situation along the Israeli border with Lebanon. During the last week they have started to publish daily iconographies of Hezbollah attacks on Israel.
Those pictures are clearly showing what I and many of Israeli citizens are ignoring the Not War, Just daily fights with Hezbollah in Lebanon.
When it will become a full sacale war? No one knows, but we on the edge of it for a long time. One thing this lobby shows clearly: something had to be done to prevent Hezbollah doing as Hamas did in October 7th.
