Hi,
Today we had a tour to La Plange. Which is in the other side of Paradisky ski area from Les Arcs.
Only last year Les Arcs and La Plange were connected by a two floor Gondola that spans above the deep valley that sits between them.
It is worth crossing to La Plangs, only for the experience of the Gondola hanging couple of hundred meters above the creek. The bottom level has a window on the floor, which let’s you look down on the creek.
We didn’t have much time in La Plange, the travel takes time and the weather precast was warning of heavy snow (which did come). We had no time to spend and try to catch as much as we can before starting to return toward Les Arcs, the signs ask you to plan your return from 3 o’clock.
We run through a snowpark and went down the Tunnel piste (which gives you a nice party experience), and we had to come back quickly over the ridge towards Les Arcs.
We stopped over for a soup (we come to the conclusion it is better to have something easy for lunch). While sitting down an easy snow start falling, which became heavier and heavier. When we got out we could barely found our skies! ⛄ But we had a wonderful time skiing on the fresh powder while it still snowing 🌨️
We spent rest of the afternoon in Les Arcs, freezing on the elevators and melting with hot chocolate. The best one, by the way, is on the top of Vallandry 74 elevator – half a liter of heavy warm chocolate with cream on top 😋
