We are in a cease fir in, almost, all the frontiers – but Einav Zangauker still cannot sleep at night. Her son, Matan Zangauker, is still an hostage under Hamas terror organization in Gaza strip.
Matan Zangauker was kidnapped, along with his partner Ilana Gritzewsky, from his house in Ofakim in October 7th Hamas attack on Israel. Ilana was returned to Israel in the first hostage deal in November 2023.
Einav is fighting on her son lives in any mean she can, and it seems she is fighting mainly against Israel government, lead by Bibi Netanyahu, that seems like better have a reason to keep the war in Gaza strip, than to release the hostage in captivity. She has being expelled from the Knesset several times, trying to talk to Bibi (which she elected) and other Knesset members and government members.
On December 7th on 2024 Hamas released a video of her son, Matan, still alive. It was a first sign of life from him in a long time and I can not even imagine how relived she was to see he is still alive and talks to her.
On the other hand, when she watched him still in the hands of those terrorists, that held him hostage for 522 days, I do not how it did not break her. I guess a mother just does not gives up, no matter what.
