Hi,
Kibbutz Manara is sitting on top of Ramim Ridge on the Israel-Lebanon border. As it is so close to the border, this settlement is also empty since the Black Sabbath (October 7th).
We were looking on Hezbollah daily attacks on this ridge and also watched and heard IDF counter attacks. But we were not aware of the damage the settlement had suffered, as other Israeli settlements on Ramim ridge, since the war started.
86 houses of the 156 houses in Kibbutz Manara had been completely destructed from the Hezbollah attacks on the last two and a half months of war: mortar shells, explosives drones and anti-tank missiles.
This is how Hezbollah bookkeeping * looks like those are the results of the daily fire exchange in northern Israel.
The pictures of the damages remind the settlements of Gaza surroundings after Hamas‘ attack on the first day of the war: collapsedand burnt houses, apartments, community dining room, club, and grocery store.
The settlements were evacuated in the beginning of the war, so not to put in danger the citizens of the near border fence. And to avoid opening another front of war before the war in Gaza strip will end.
And there seems the war in the south will not end soon. Each day, more ammunition, weapons, rockets, missiles, and tunnel attacks are found by IDF soldiers inside Gaza.
Will a war in the north be invetible? It does seem so, as this bookkeeping and daily fire exchange is just on the edge of war. Things might escalate very quickly without any of the sides wishing for it to happen.
