Haifa – Atlit, Israel
Hi,
Since I finished my first and last Marathon in Tiberies last year, I still run most of Friday morning on the shore. On one side I have Mount Carmel and the other the Mediterranean sea. It is a flat and calm running path and it crosses many of Carmel streams.
Today it was pretty extreme. the weather was clear so I didn’t have to fight winds and rain, but apparently it was raining all night long. All of the little streams that usually does not exist become a challenge to cross =).
Take Care
Gad
The Northeast stream I met. Usually there are some other here coming from the industrial area behind the road. – Carmel streams
2nd stream – I wasn’t the only one with a problem to cross it.
The 5th stream and the fenced area that hold the sea turtle eggs
Beit Oren Stream – The last and biggest of Carmel streams I crossed….
…I had to go all the way up the stream to the train bridge to cross it (and to run from the train).
The Kurkar ridge and the Carmel Mount behind it. In old times (and till the 19th Century), the ridge had hold those streams and swamps were created behind it.
