Hi girl!
Pretty funny I am writing you, while in the matter of fact you are in Israel in Birthright Israel project =) I guess we won’t see each other – you probably have a pretty busy schedule anyway.
Sorry I haven’t been writing to you in past half year, it was a busy time for me: Marriage, Buying an apartment and renovating it (partly by ourselves), Adopting a cat and running a Marathon! (not in that order).
I see if I can write about some of those things, I guess you will find some of those interesting while I see the rest interesting =)
Anyway, while you are here, you might wanna understand a bit about what is happening right in Israel, mainly in Hebron right now.
Last Thursday, it’s been a rumor that 3 Yeshiva (religious High school) teenagers were kidnapped while hitchhiking from Gush Atzion in the west bank. Couple hours later and after the tried to call and alert the police, IDF got the information and started looking after them.
Unlike earlier kidnaps (like Gilad Shalit kidnap i.e.) no organization took responsibility and no list of demands was presented to the communication. Hamas is considered right now responsible to it. The kidnapped are teenagers, not like Gilad Shalit or Nachshon Wachsman who were soldiers. Because of that,I for myself, don’t see that act as legitimate. You may say IDF also kill Palestinians boys and girls – but is done by mistake while trying to hit a real terrorist. Till now, nine days already, there is no direction to where they might be or to whether or not they are still alive =(
