It was the first time ever I was called up for military reserve duty in Tzav 8 (order 8)
Many of my friends and family had been called up during the years: Guri, Nathan, Niv, and so on. But I have never been called up once. Not on Pillar of Defense, Guardian of the Wall, operation shield and arrow, operation breaking dawn nd so on.
The unit I am in was never needed for emergency fighting. We have been called up to defend on settelments on South Mount Hebron, to lie down mines on Syria border, and of course for trainings (and many of those). That is for about 17 years. This is how the situation is considered different.
In the meantime, the stories are flawing among the news we hope are just fake news. The numbers keep going up every minute that passes while the rockets keep going and news of complete units been erased and slaughtered.
We had passed several road blocks along the way, as it still not clear how far the terrorists had managed to penetrate Israel and is their destination. While we were afraid of alarms along the way, our biggest problem was the siren Dub supplied for us along the way from the south…

The text massage calling me for emergency military reserve duty of Tzav 8 (order 8). I got it already on my North, and got a phone call just before (an automatic phone). But the company Whatsapp group was already full of massages calling for action, and the order for us to get in was sent over there already hours before.
